• GlobalLab Project Participation and Report Forms

    • How do I complete a Report Form correctly?
      •   Familiarize yourself with the project’s description. Pay special attention to the Protocol and Safety Tips.
      • Click on Report Form button.
      • If you have not signed in, the system will prompt you to supply your username.
      • Indicate on the map place where you perform investigation.
      • Fill in all of the Report Form fields.
      • Click on the Submit your data button.
    • Which Report Form fields are required?

      All fields in the Report Form must be filled in (unless stated otherwise, either in the description or in the Form itself).

    • How many Report Forms can I submit?

      Any authorized user of GlobalLab website can join any project. The number of Report Forms necessary for a certain project can be limited by the authors of such project.

    • May I change my Report Form data once it has been submitted?

      Presently, the option of editing or deleting submitted data is not available. The author, facilitator or GlobalLab moderator can block the Report Form, and after this you can edit mistakes and resubmit the Report Form.

      To block (delete) a Report Form, please, send a message to support@globallab.org. You need to provide the link to such Report Form (to do this, find the Report Form in project Results, open it and copy the URL) in the message.

      Please, take into account, that all “likes” received by such Report Form will be lost when it is blocked.

    • How can I submit Report Form on behalf of your GlobalLab group?

      If you were invited and accepted at least one invitation to a group at GlobalLab website, the last question at any your Report Form would be: Do you want to submit this Report Form from your GlobalLab account or on behalf of your GlobalLab group? Any group member can submit Report Form on behalf of GlobalLab group.

    • Where and how do I browse the completed Report Forms (my own and those of other participants)?

      In the project’s menu on the left of the page, click on the Findings and you can examine the results of an investigation. The results are delivered in four forms:

      1. Representations on a geographical map
      2. Selected images or text in the gallery
      3. Charts
      4. List of Report Forms.

      A GlobalLab user can choose and customize the view of widgets, as it is suitable for him/her.

    • Can I look through a Report Form submitted by another project participant?

      From the project’s menu on the left of the page, click on the Findings and then examine the results of an investigation. On the bottom of this page, all results widgets used by the author are listed. There is a Report Forms list. This widget displays the results of all participants of this project. It can sort and filter them by username, by date, by likes, by latitude and by longitude (as in the gallery and charts). You can find a Report Form date, number of likes and icon providing the link to full Report form next to the username with user picture. Click on the icon and see the Report Form in special window over the Findings page.

      To close the Report Form click on the X button in the corner of the window.

      You can find such Report form icon on map or in the gallery of a Findings page if you look at a certain result (result cluster). 

    • What does the list of Report Forms widget look like?

      In the project’s menu on the left of the page, click on the Findings and then examine the results of an investigation. On the bottom of this page, all results widgets used by the author are listed. There is a Report Forms list. This widget displays the results of all participants of this project. It can sort and filter them by username, by date, by likes, by latitude and by longitude (as in the gallery and charts). This widget is placed on the Findings page automatically.

    • I completed my Report Form and sent it to the website but it was deleted. Why?

      GlobalLab moderators, project authors and facilitators will delete your Report Form if it contains information that violates theUser Agreement or does not correspond to the Protocol of the project.

    • Who can block/delete Report Forms?

      Presently, a Report Form can be deleted GlobalLab moderators, project authors and facilitators, if it contains information that violates theUser Agreement or does not correspond to the Protocol of the project (it is on the Investigation page of any project).

    • I am an Author (Facilitator) of the project. How can I block a Report Form of one of my project participants?

      Report Form can be deleted GlobalLab moderators, project authors and facilitators, if it contains information that violates theUser Agreement or does not correspond to the Protocol of the project (it is on the Investigation page of any project).

      All Report Forms submitted by project participants can be seen on the Findings page. On the bottom of this page, below all results widgets used by the author there is a Report Forms list. This widget allows demonstrate results of all participants of this project, sort and filter them by username, by date, by likes, by latitude and by longitude (as in the gallery and charts). You can find Report Form date, number of likes and icon providing the link to full Report form next to the username with user picture. Click on the icon and see the Report Form in special window over the Findings page. To close the Report Form click on the cross in the corner of the window. You can find such Report form icon on map or in the gallery of a Findings page if you look at a certain result (result cluster). There is a Block button under the information about username and date of the Report Form in Report form window. If you click on the Block button, you block this Report Form. Do not forget to inform your project participant why you blocked his/her Report form (this window appears when you block a Report Form). If you succeed, there is going to appear corresponding message. Refresh Findings page, blocked Report form is deleted from all widgets for all participants.

    • How can I write in the Author’s Blog?

      An Author or a Facilitator of a project can add an article to an Author’s Blog. Any GlobalLab authorized user can comment on articles in the Author’s Blog.
