• Private messages

    • What is a private message?

      Communications between two GlobalLab participants at GlobalLab website we call private messages. Only participants of these communications can see such messages. Nevertheless, we ask you to be polite and avoid use of vulgar and offensive words.

    • How can I send a private message?

      If you write to a particular GlobalLab participant for the first time, go to the Community page and find his/her username or user picture on the map. Go to the chosen participant's Profile page and click on his/her username. Click Send private message button under the Score bar of the participant (his/her Score, Points, Level) and you’ll see a Private messages window. Type in your message into a text field and click the Send button. When you succeed, your message with date and time will show on the upper right corner of Private messages window with green field. The Participant to whom you write a message is indicated in the left column at the contact list.

      If you already communicated to the GlobalLab participant, click your username on the upper-right corner of the page. There is a dropdown menu for My messages. Find participant whom you want to send a message in your contact list in the left column. In the right part of Private messages window you can find your message history with this participant. Type in your message into a text field and click Send button. When you succeed, your message with date and time is going to show on the upper right corner of Private messages window with green field.

    • Whom can I write to? And Who can write to me?

      Each GlobalLab participant can send a personal message to any other GlobalLab participant.

    • How can I know that there is a private message for me?

      If a Globallab participant sent to you a private message, there is going to be an icon (red square with number of received messages) next to your username on the upper-right corner of any page. Make a click on the red square and see information window with:

      • Participant who sent a message
      • Message text
      • Message date and time
      • Two buttons – Reply and Close

      If you click on Reply button, you see dialog window with such participant. In it you can reply to the received message.

      If you click on Close button, the notice about received private message disappears from the list

    • How can I read and reply to a private message?

      To read a private message click on red square with number of received messages next to your username on the upper-right corner of any page. There appears the list of all received private messages, invitations to groups, etc.

      If you click on Reply button next to GlobalLab participant’s username, you see dialog window with such participant. Type in your message into a text field and click Send button.

      If you don’t want to reply, click on Close button, the notice about received private message disappears from the list.

    • How do I complain about unsolicited or unpleasant personal messages, e-mail, or other unwanted communication?

      We ask you to complain immediately if you received messages or phone calls containing one of the following: 

      •   spam, ads, meaningless mixture of letters or numbers;
      • abuses;
      • loutish behavior;
      • inflammatory calls;
      • threats;
      • issues that contradict to national legislation.

      To send a complaint you need to write to our Support team via support@globallab.org. Please, name the letter Complain, and in text field mention your username, username of the author of noise and date and time of such message. Also you can complain via Need help? button – it is located on the left side of each page. All complaints are worked out within 3 business days. Our moderators will use necessary restrictive measures for violators.
