Today we were at the municipal scientific practical conference LEU "Search". Our research work "Secret characters heaven" was among the winners, we are very happy!
We present our findings to work. In the study, we were able to identify obvious "leaders" among the snowflakes! In the first place asterisks. They are formed at any temperatures ranging from 0 to -20 degrees, and any humidity in the range above 50 and below 100%. The second highest frequency of occurrence, records and spatial stars. However, the temperature range and humidity range from spatial asterisks are significantly higher than in plates. Comparing the stars formed in different conditions, we noted that the snowflakes that fell at lower temperatures and high humidity are more complex, they are much larger and fishnet their fellows.
The shape of snowflakes really depends on the conditions under which it was formed, but this dependence is very thin, and we need a lot more observations before we can make a more complete and correct vyvody.V particular, we do not take into account the strength of the wind, and in windy weather occurs more uncertain form of crystals and fragments of stars, the structure of which was broken in the fall, and it is likely to blame the wind, not the temperature and humidity.
We believe that if the shape of snowflakes depends on the conditions in which they were formed, the snowflakes of the northern regions, especially coastal seas and oceans, where the humidity is higher, will vary the complexity and beauty of snowflakes and southern regions remote from the seas and oceans.
The final results, we think it is too early to sum up. It is necessary to gather as much data from different points of our country.
Finally, we can draw some intermediate results. As a result of observation and analysis of the results, we were able to identify obvious "leaders" among the snowflakes! At first sprockets, they are formed at all temperatures in the range of 0 to -20 degrees. On the second - the spatial stars, they lost only one position, they are not formed at -20. Rounding out the top three "plate", they are not observed, and at -15 outside.
Relative humidity we were able to identify the following pattern. Virtually all forms of snowflakes prefer formed at a relative humidity of 70% and above. Only sprockets formed even at 50% humidity.
Comparing the stars formed in different conditions, we noted that the snowflakes that fell at lower temperatures and high humidity is much more complicated and fishnet their counterparts who are "out of luck" to the conditions present schedevry by nature!
The final results, we think it is too early to sum up. Calendar comes spring, but winter is not so easy surrender their positions. We will observe the more snowflakes!
