    Me and my name.

Every one of us has a name. Is there a relation between our names and our characters? Let us investigate!

As an example let’s look at the name Catherine. If we open a dictionary, we can see the meaning of this name:

The name Catherine originated from the Greek word katharos meaning “pure, chaste, veritable”. A Catherine considers her duty to be as beautiful, clever, and majestic as she can, and even more importantly to be irreproachable, blameless, and noble. She is thrifty and even a bit greedy. Catherine is ambitious, she doesn’t tolerate it well when someone else is superior, she is one of the best in her class, and she seeks the friendship of those who are considered “elite” and have charisma and authority. She has an irresolute character. When discontented Catherine is usually anxious, irritated, or even malicious.

This description fits the girls named Catherine that I know. It almost fits me.

    Do you fit your name?
