    Goal

    This project has three goals:

    1. Calculate your carbon footprint.
    2. Share your results with students around the world.
    3. Find ways to reduce our carbon footprint all together.

    Research question

    1. Do you think that your personal carbon footprint is likely to be lower, higher, or about the same as the average resident in your country?
    2. Do you think that your personal carbon footprint is likely to be lower, higher, or about the same as the average human?

    Equipment

    We shall all use the same CALCULATOR (ADVANCED CALCULATOR) so that we can compare our results.

    Why use data from multiple participants?

    This project intends to give students a global view of the carbon footprint in different countries with different cultures and costumes.

    Investigation Protocol

    1. Calculate your carbon footprint
      We shall all use the same CALCULATOR (ADVANCED CALCULATOR) so that we can compare the results.
      You'll find 50 questions about home, energy and appliances, food habits, personal purchases and transportation.
    2. Register your total carbon footprint and the sub total by cathegory, Home, Food, Purchases and Transportation.
      Share your results on the Report Form.
    3. After submiting and sharing your results, compare your carbon footprint with other students around the world.
    4. Find ways to REDUCE your carbon footprint on the Discussion tab.
